Finch first started playing softball when she was just five years old. Her home is in La Mirada, California. Doug, Doug's father, was her first pitching instructor. Then she went to at the University of Arizona where she was named an All-American three times and a first baseman. It is the Honda Award, given to the nation's top softball players during 2001 when the Wildcats won the title of national champions and in 2002 was won by her. Wounded Warriors amputee softball (WWAST) is a group of amputees with a mission to promote awareness and raise funds through showcase games, famous softball teams as well as other occasions that showcase the bravery and sacrifices of our military personnel and their ability to conquer every obstacle.
